With this painting I wanted to do something incorporating my love of Talavera pottery and patterning...I'm originally from California and have always been attracted to this distinctive Mexican pottery so prevalent in the decorative tiling and housewares.  It originally came from Talavera de la Reina in Spain, the country where I live now.  I enjoyed exploring what patterns would work together and make an interesting composition.  I hope you enjoy looking at it as much as I did creating it.
